Fall luncheon, Wednesday, October 15, 2008
Indiana University Women’s Basketball Coach Felisha Legette-Jack will be the keynote speaker at our fall women’s luncheon, Wednesday, October 15, 2008.
Coach Jack was named the 8th head women’s basketball coach at Indiana University on April 19, 2006. She led the Hoosiers to a season-opening 7-1, the best since 2000. Before coming to Indiana University, coach Jack coached for four years at Hofstra taking that team to its first postseason in the school’s history.
Having served as a player and coach for 16 seasons, Felisha was an assistant coach on the gold medal winning 2003 USA Basketball Championship team in Croatia with Ohio State. She also was a gold medal winner as an assistant coach on the 2005 USA Basketball U-19 championship team in Turkey with Duke University.
While at Syracuse, she was a team captain, a nationally acclaimed player and was named Big East Rookie of the year. She served as a three-time All Big East Conference selection, a two time Kodak All American honorable mention and has been inducted into numerous halls of fame. After graduation from Syracuse, she served as assistant coach at Boston College, Syracuse and Michigan. This experience provides a great platform for coaching at IU. She inspires strong academic achievement and commitment from her players. Coach Jack is known for her enthusiasm, energy, work ethic and kindness. Coach Jack, her husband and son live in Bloomington.
