If you are seeking a divorce....

If you are a victim of sexual assault, stalking, domestic violence, child abuse, harassment, financial coercion, or related crimes, the Middle Way House Legal Advocate team is available to assist you in filling out divorce petitions, motions to assist, and protective orders. They will discuss custody and visitation options, making referrals to pro bono and reduced fee programs, private attorneys, therapists and other resources. Advocates can also assist clients who are eligible for victims’ compensation in pursuing that relief.

A Middle Way Advocate works in the Monroe County Clerk’s Office, and we have 3 legal advocates that work in our shelter office.

Advocates at Middle Way House will work with domestic violence victims to attain an affordable and safe solution for the serving of papers. You do not have to put yourself at risk.
