2017 Volunteer Training

Help us end violence in our community by volunteering at Middle Way House.  You can make a difference by volunteering as little as an hour and a half a week and numerous opportunities exist at our Bloomington locations and our outreach offices in Greene, Martin and Owen counties.  We rely heavily on committed volunteers to achieve positive results.

All potential volunteers must participate in one of our eight-hour volunteer training sessions held on various Saturdays or Mondays throughout the year. There is NO pre-registration required for the training; however, please complete our volunteer application and our background check form and bring them with you to the training. If you forget to bring them, we have you covered, but it saves a ton of time for those presenting the training to have this task taken care of in advance.  We typically offer trainings in January, April, June, September and December.

There are two remaining training dates in 2017.

Saturday September 16, 2017 9:00am – 5:00pm

Location: Downtown Transit Center located at the corner of 3rd Street & Walnut

There will be a one hour break for lunch (12:00-1:00). Participants may bring a lunch or go out to eat.

Saturday, December 2, 2017 9:00am – 5:00pm  Same location and schedule, until further notice.
