Crisis Intervention Intern
Middle Way House accepts applications for crisis intervention interns on an ongoing basis. Crisis Intervention Interns assist with the Crisis Line, On-Scene Advocate program, and outreach/educational activities. Rooftop Garden Program Intern
The Middle Way House Rooftop Garden is currently seeking interns to assist in developing and presenting education programs to resident youth. Based in gardening and sustainability-related tasks, lessons are intended to foster the children’s social and cognitive growth and contribute to their academic success. The Rooftop Garden aims to improve food security within Middle Way House while being an additional source for local, sustainably grown produce for the community. No gardening skills are required for the position but we ask that candidates allow approximately five hours a week for internship work. Tech Support Intern
Middle Way House is currently seeking interns to assist in upgrading and maintaining our office hardware and software. Projects could include taking inventory of existing hardware, identifying and performing necessary upgrades, ensuring agency compliance with mandatory software requirements, wiping decommissioned hard drives, determining whether donated equipment is reusable or recyclable, providing basic technical support/training on Microsoft products to users, or conducting efficiency analyses to improve LAN performance.
